HMO: We accept all HMO insurance providers that are in the Mills Peninsula Division “MPMG", which is a sub-division of PAMF (Palo Alto Medical Foundation). They include: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Health Net, United Healthcare, Secure Horizons/AARP Complete.

 

Please have your chosen physician’s name assigned to you before scheduling an appointment.

Office Information/Policies:

Effective Immediately:

We will now be collecting all co-insurance, deductibles and co-pay amounts on the day of your visit. This will prevent us having to balance bill you. Please be prepared to pay your amount due at the time of service.

 

Controlled Substances

 

Starting January 1, 2019 all prescriptions that are a controlled substance must be written out by the prescribing MD or sent electronically to your pharmacy. This is our office policy.

 

We apologize for any inconvience this may cause. However, we are implementing this process in order to stay up-to-date with California and FDA rules and regulations.

 

Flu Vaccines: Will be available for 2019 Flu Season in September

The CDC recommends patients should receive the vaccine no sooner than September to have full covereage for this season.

A note from the Palo Alto Medical Foundation / Mills-Peninsula Division regarding the "Super strength" Flu Vaccine: "Note that Fluzone High-Dose has not been demonstrated to provide greater protection against influenza than other vaccines and neither the CDC nor ACIP has expressed a preference for one vaccine over another at this time."
